It's interesting to see different approaches to spell-melee hybrids.
Druid's specific way of being a spell-melee hybrid is that he casts spells in human form, while his animal forms are all about melee combat.
Monk's "style" of using Spells forgoes manual casting and focuses more on the "Cast on X" and "X Invocation" meta skills.
I'd speculate that Shadow's specific means of being a Spell-Melee hybrid is having Spells that require equipping at least one Dagger to use, as part of his "signature kit".
I also speculate that Templar will get Spells that require equipping a Flail to use, but we'll have to wait and see.</section>

The Twitch drop for the content reveal stream is the "Verdant Wilds" dodge-roll/sprint effect.
Pretty basic, but cute.
This reminded me how dodge-roll/sprint MTX from POE2 are used as Quicksilver Flasks in POE1.
And also that - from Ziggy's interview with Jonathan and Rogers during the POE1 Keepers of the Flame reveal stream - one of their roadmap paths is to continue with getting as many of POE1's cosmetics working in POE2 as possible (barring explicitly "incompatible" cosmetics such as POE1's Righteous Fire skill effects), because getting that done will set the stage for getting POE2's player animation rigs into POE1.
With all that in mind, I'd throw out a random bit of far-into-the-future speculation and say that it may lead to POE1's Quicksilver Flasks getting replaced with the dodge-roll + sprint.
But we'll see.</section>

For reference, v0.3 "The Third Edict" was released in 2025-Aug-29.
I definitely think that their approach with v0.3.1 - address issues and get them out of the way so that the next expansion can focus more on new content - is paying off, if it means that we're getting 0.4 in early December, instead of late December.
Well... 12-Dec is more two-fifths of December, but it IS still a big leap compare to a few days short of its end.

As one final note, "Rise of the Abyssal" will officially go Core.
On 2025-Dec-08 1PM PST, the league itself will go down and everyone in there will be migrated to the Standard leagues. No wipes, so the characters will still be there to continue playing as.</section>
